Pathfinder is our primary game system. For a group of family men, time is precious and the Pathfinder Adventure Paths are great resources for our overworked DMs.
However, I do like to branch out from time-to-time. When I get a hankering to do something different, my current preference is Basic RolePlaying.
Oddly enough, although I spent a solid year or so playing CoC exclusively back in my college days, I was always the DM. I abused my players mercilessly and they kept coming back for more. I think the effort of maintaining a very tenuous grasp on one's sanity is a role-playing challenge that appeals to a lot of players.
If I can ever convince my group that a game, in which success is achieved by avoiding combat and spending a lot of time reading old books, can still be fun, you're in.:)

I don't think i've ever played a session of CoC.

I like the sanity rules in CoC,
I've got the rules and a couple of supplements / adventures.
If you ever decide to revisit Coc let me know.

How could anyone choose combat over reading old books?
